Location:	Rua Red, South Dublin Arts Centre, Tallaght

Date: March 29. Time: 7:30pm - 9:30pm. The theme of this seminar is Images of Reggio Emilia, a presentation of case studies, using video and photography, of the work of the infant and toddler centres in Reggio Emilia.

The seminar will explore the Reggio Emilia concepts of ‘the environment as the third teacher’, and ‘the competent child’ and will outline for participants how this approach can be adapted for use in Irish early education and care settings.

This seminar is suitable for practitioners, students, trainers and regulators, policy makers and others involved in early Childhood Education and Care.

Fee €15 per person for NCNA members and €25 for non NCNA members.

Siolta & Aistear

Siolta is the National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education. Síolta has a number of key characteristics, which are of importance in gaining an understanding of how the Framework operates. These characteristics ensure that the vision of the Framework can be realised and have the maximum beneficial outcomes for all ECCE stakeholder. Aistear is the new curriculum framework for all children from birth to six years. It can be used in childminding settings, sessional services, full and part-time daycare settings, infant classes in primary schools, children’s own homes.
