It is with great pleasure that Reggio Children formally ackowledges the participation of the National Children’s Nurseries Association, as member representative of the Republic of Ireland within the context of the Reggio Children International Network.

Reggio Children has an identity based of interacting and being in relationship with other countries and networks, and this  is recognised in its mission statement: “International Centre for the Defense and Promotion of the rights of all children”.

The concept of a Reggio Children as an International Network has been evolving over many years through both formal and informal encounters between those involved in, and for the education of young children across many countries and also between Reggio Emilia and individual representatives.

The Reggio Children International Network is an organization composed of individuals and subjects in dialogue and in contact with the experience of the Municipal infant toddler centres and preschools of Reggio Emilia since many years.

Being part of the International Network also implies to defend and promote the wealth of knowledge we want to build in defense and promotion of children’s rights. To sustain and share the Reggio Children heritage of knowledge we believe in the importance to incorporate values, culture and policies while mantaining intergrity in interpretation and understanding of the Reggio Philosophy.
